Simon: Watching for some heavy, thundery showers developing this afternoon and evening in parts of the Midlands, eastern England and Wales.

Simon: Rain this morning in Southern Ireland and across southwest England and southern Wales. This eases for a while. Best sunshine in northern England and Scotland where it will be warm in the west.

Filotas: A mostly dry and bright start to the day with sunny spells especially over the east. Any remaining rain over western Ireland will soon clear away. Through the afternoon scattered showers will develop over land, a few heavy ones over northern England. Later in the afternoon, thick cloud and heavy thundery showers will reach the southern coast gradually moving northwest. Temperatures will rise put to 15C in north, and 19C in south.

Simon: Wet and cool in western areas today but drier, sunnier and warmer for most central and eastern parts.

Filotas: This evening over Ireland expect mostly cloudy skies with some light rain or drizzle, this mostly over the east. Western parts of Scotland and England as well as Wales will see some rain through the evening and night, again possibly heavy and more persistent over high ground. Further east the evening will be mostly dry with long clear spells over the southeast. Minimum temperatures at around 7-9C for most parts.

Filotas: The day starts fairly dry with brightness over eastern Scotland and eastern England. Further west over Ireland it will be a cloudy start to the day with outbreaks of rain, this heavy for a time over the southern counties. Through the morning and afternoon rain will move over western/southwestern Scotland, northwest England, Wales and southwest England, this heavy over high ground. Strengthening southerly winds with maximum temperatures at 10C in north and 14C in south.
