Low pressure west of Ireland on Saturday. Wind and rain affecting western parts of Scotland and Ireland - here rain fairly persistent, in southwestern Ireland heavy, locally 100mm possible and flooding in places. Dry for England and Wales, lot of sunshine, clouds slowly moving in from the west. still some bright spells in the east. Southerly gales still around the Irish Sea, spreading also for most of Ireland, strongest in the North Channel. Temperatures at 14 to 17C in eastern England.

Low pressure west of Ireland on Sunday. Widely cloudy, outbreaks of rain almost everywhere, during daytime dry most likely only in some parts of central Scotland and perhaps along the Spine of Britain. Afternoon becoming dry western Ireland, bright spells here. Rain, increasingly heavy, in Wales and western England. Tops at 11C in Scotland to 18C in southern England.
